We have worked on a great number of tities, with more than 2 million words translated in total. We are also dedicated gamers. We love gaming and we love our profession. We hope to bring your game to a wider audience, and bring gamers joy.We want to tell your story.

The fellowship of the wolf

Our studio was funded by legendary video game translator, Ma Mofan "Sirius Wolf", and currently includes three core members: Sirius, Luminous, and Triss. At its heart, Sirius leads the studio with his meticulous mind and passionate pursuit. He's often the team's final eye and final touch, bring his thoughtfulness and creativity to each project. Deeply experienced in both gaming and translation, he found his calling in video game translation, and is set on bringing good translation to good video games, so that they can be enjoyed by a broader audience. Each member of the team has their own edge, and we collaborate closely on projects:

Sirius...

... is the editor of the team. Seasoned and used to being language leads in projects, he guarantees quality by making thoughtful improvements and addressing concerns.
... has a sharp wit for puns and humor, and for translating them.
... is a poet (self-proclaimed). He excels at translating all sorts of poetry and rhymes, be them serious or silly.
... is a master at card games and sometimes still plays competetively.
... is the heart of the team, who keeps the working environment comfortable and healthy, and inspires the team to be the best of themselves.

Luminous...

... is a talented writer. Experienced in writing as well as translating, she wields a greater Chinese vocabulary to create beautiful translations.
... is easily focused and organized. She keeps the projects going at a steady pace.
... enjoys a vast variety of games and more games in general. (And she's very good at them!)
... provides wonderful insights on cultural references.
... safeguards Sirius from being consumed by pride, sloth, or insanity.

Triss...

...is a newly trained translator and the youngest member of the team. Despite this, she already worked on quite a few projects!
...is thorough and has great attention to detail, making her a good LQA tester.
...is also the team's diplomat, who reaches out to clients and negotiates for the team.
...enjoys many forms of art, such as books, movies, music, and of course, video games. Her knowledge in these fields are invaluable to the team.
...is a swift learner and jack of all trades, who can take care of things that are out of the skillset of normal translators.

Frequently asked questions

Q: What services do you provide? We provide game localization services, including localization (translation), editing (proofreading), and Linguistic Quality Assurance (LQA). Several companies also trust us with evaluating other translators' work. We can also work as linguistic and cultural consultants. We do not work on MTPE (Machine Translation Post-Editing) projects. We firmly believe that machine translation should not be used in game localization.Due to personal values, we do not work on any game with NFT elements.Q: What kind of games do you specialize in?We specialize in RPGs, text-heavy games, story-focused games, card games, roguelikes & roguelites, adventure games, and visual novels. We are eager to expand our expertise, however, so we are willing to work on almost any kind of game and give it our best shot.Q: Why should I localize my game to Simplified Chinese? As of December 2021, Simplified Chinese is the most used Steam user language excluding English. Simplified Chinese players represent a large market in gaming, and most of them won’t or can’t game in English. An additional language can give you an extra push at launch, grant you extra support during crowdfunding campaign, and keep your game trending longer post-launch.Q: How much does your service cost? Our localization service is charged by word count, and our LQA service an hourly rate. However, prices may vary based on project scope, genre, urgency, among other factors, so we’ll only quote after learning the details about your project.
